A Happy Accident!
I was wandering around and visiting with some of the wonderful artists at Art In The Park in Blowing Rock, NC last month and while talking with a jewelry designer about her booth, I (by accident) had my phone camera one. Boy did I get some interesting shots and this is one of them.

I am happy to let you know that one of my Snell Design necklaces (Hollow glass beads) was chosen to be part of the Art of the Auction at the NC Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC on June 8, 2013. It will be on view in The East Building from May 17 - June 8, 2013. On Friday, May 17, the public is invited to enjoy an evening of art and celebration at the Auction Preview Party.

Patriot Day 70th Birthday Bracelet
A special friend of mine wanted to honor his sister-in-law on her 70th Birthday. He knew he wanted 7 hearts. And since her birthday is in September we decided to use the sapphire glass in most of the hearts and also use the Swarovski Sapphire Crystals. And I just had to add one red heart...Happy Birthday to a special lady!

New Larger Glass Beads
I had fun making these larger size glass beads. They are a little different
from my usual round beads. The colors are fun and I think I will try more shapes soon.
I have dropped these pendants with copper chains off at The Artist Colony in down town Sanford, NC.
Please let Sandy or Judy (if you stop by on the weekends) know you came by to get a closer look.
